Softball Recap: Tracy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tracy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past Ceres 10-0. Tracy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Hayden Fell's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned runs in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reanna Zuniga, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ava Crivello, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Tracy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ceres only posted a batting average of .222.

Tracy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ceres, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Tracy will head out to take on Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tracy's pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ceres, they will be taking part in a tournament against Patterson at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday.
