Oasis Christian got a massive performance out of Michael Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Troy Skinner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Halifax Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-4 to Central Florida Christian Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Oasis Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Halifax Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
