Baseball Recap: Revere Takes a Loss

Revere managed to slip by Barberton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Minutemen lost 6-0 to the Magics on Thursday. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Magics apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Revere got a good showing from Jake Diaz, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Diaz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances.

Revere's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Barberton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Revere will challenge Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Barberton, they will face off against Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Magics surely won't give up without a fight.
