Basketball Recap: Barnstable Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Barnstable won the last time they faced Nauset Regional and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Barnstable Red Hawks were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over the Nauset Regional Warriors. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Barnstable's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Nauset Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnstable will challenge Dennis-Yarmouth Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nauset Regional, they will take on Cape Cod Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Cod Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
