Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

New Braunfels Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Ellie Schwandt, who almost dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 12 boards, and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Pertuis, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

Holy Cross will face off against John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats challenge the Gloria Deo Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for New Braunfels Christian Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Gloria Deo Academy has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
