Basketball Recap: Garden City Takes a Loss

Garden City lost against Irion County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Garden City Bearkats had to suffer through a 52-24 loss at the hands of the Irion County Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bearkats have suffered against the Hornets since February 18, 2022.

Garden City's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Irion County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Garden City will welcome Veribest at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Veribest has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Irion County, they will head out on the road to take on Robert Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robert Lee will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Irion County surely won't give up without a fight.
