Volleyball Recap: Espanola Valley Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

Espanola Valley hadn't done well against Moriarty recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Sundevils walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pintos. For the Sundevils, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Pintos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Espanola Valley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Several Pintos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payten Butler, who had nine digs.

Espanola Valley's victory ended an eight-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11. As for Moriarty, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-11 record.

Espanola Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Pojoaque Valley on the 16th. As for Moriarty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Los Alamos on the 16th.
