Volleyball Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln Takes a Loss

Manitowoc Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mukwonago Indians. The Ships were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Abby Weidmayer paced Manitowoc Lincoln's offense, picking up six kills. Weidmayer got some help from Cora Foster and her seven assists. Emma Popp controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Manitowoc Lincoln now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Mukwonago, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 9-13.

Manitowoc Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hartford on the 27th. As for Mukwonago, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 27th.
