Northwest barely beat Wingate the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Bears on Monday. Considering the Falcons have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Bryan Talk, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keydonn Begaye, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Northwest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .620. They are 4-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Northwest, bringing their record up to 10-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.2 runs over those games. As for Wingate, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northwest beat the Bears by a score of 22-5 later that day.
