Baseball Game Preview: Maine South Hawks vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

For the second straight game, Maine South will face off against Glenbrook North. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Spartans at 4:45 p.m.

Maine South came out on top against Glenbrook North on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Hawks took their matchup against the Spartans 7-3.

Jake Zabratanski looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eric Fugate, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Constantine Coines, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Maine South now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Glenbrook North, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 9-8.
