Volleyball Game Preview: Pawnee Indians vs. Shelbyville Rams

Pawnee is 1-8 against Shelbyville since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Pawnee came up short against Nokomis and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Shelbyville also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Shelbyville was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 28-26.

Pawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Shelbyville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Pawnee couldn't quite get it done against Shelbyville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
