Basketball Recap: Champlin Park Comes Up Short

Champlin Park lost against Maple Grove back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Champlin Park Rebels were dealt an 87-41 loss at the hands of the Maple Grove Crimson. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Crimson are ranked second).

This is the second loss in a row for Champlin Park and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Maple Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Champlin Park will head out to square off against Osseo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Champlin Park is facing Osseo at the right time seeing as Osseo is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Maple Grove, they will square off against Coon Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Maple Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
