Basketball Game Preview: KIPP Delta vs. Lee Trojans

KIPP Delta is 0-10 against Lee since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. KIPP Delta will host the Lee Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

KIPP Delta's tournament run continued when they took on Central two weeks ago. KIPP Delta fell just short of Central by a score of 52-50. KIPP Delta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lee came up short against Lincoln on Saturday and fell 72-63. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Wolves are ranked 34th).

Lee's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for KIPP Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

KIPP Delta was dealt a bruising 93-48 loss at the hands of Lee in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can KIPP Delta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
