Boyd County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They never let the Eastern Eagles get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Boyd County's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Eastern, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyd County will welcome East Rutherford at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.2, the Cavaliers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Eastern, they will challenge Maumee at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
