Football Recap: Evart Takes a Loss

After flying high against Roscommon last Friday, Evart came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 32-21 to the Pine River Area Bucks on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bucks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Aidan Anderson threw for 225 yards and one TD while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt. Willie Ray was his top target, picking up 188 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Kam Swales rushed for 58 yards.

Evart now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pine River Area, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evart will welcome Manton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Rangers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Pine River Area, they will take on Roscommon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine River Area will be up against Roscommon's rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
