It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stratford can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos by a score of 10-9 on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Stratford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Marks, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
