Adams Central had won ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-0 to make it 11. They took their game with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over the Southern Wells Raiders. The Flying Jets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Southern Wells, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Southern Wells still got an impressive performance from Trey Slusher, who threw for 167 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 77 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Adams Central will challenge rival Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Flying Jets 7.9, the Tigers 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Southern Wells is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
