Soccer Game Preview: Gainesville vs. Columbia

The Gainesville Hurricanes will head out to face off against the Columbia Tigers at 7:20 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Gainesville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Suwannee.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Columbia duked it out withRidgeview on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Nathan Matsubara and Cody Bass scored both of Columbia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 3-4-3. Columbia's draw gives them a new season record of 7-2-3.
