Softball Recap: Mount Horeb Vikings vs. Sauk Prairie Eagles
Mount Horeb waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Sauk Prairie Eagles 13-3. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
Jozie Clifton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Monroe, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
