Basketball Recap: Salina Takes a Loss

Salina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Kansas Comets and fell 65-30. The Wildcats lost against the Comets in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-53 score last time.

Salina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kansas, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salina will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Inola at 7:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025. Kansas also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Vinita at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
