Basketball Game Preview: Seagoville Dragons vs. North Mesquite Stallions

Seagoville is 0-4 against North Mesquite since January of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Seagoville Dragons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the North Mesquite Stallions at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Seagoville will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Wilson, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Seagoville secured a 71-67 W over Wilson on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Mesquite, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They really took it to Spruce for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-20 win. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 26 points or more this season.

North Mesquite pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.5 points. As for Seagoville, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Seagoville came up short against North Mesquite in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 66-57. Can Seagoville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
