Softball Recap: Brooke Takes a Loss

After flying high against Catholic Central last Wednesday, Brooke came back down to earth. The Bruins fell just short of the Cambridge Bobcats by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Maia Diserio was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Maggie Diserio was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Brooke's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Cambridge, they moved to 5-14 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Brooke will square off against North Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge, they will take on Shenandoah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
