The Woburn Memorial Tanners will venture away from home to challenge the Lexington Minutemen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Woburn Memorial sitting on four straight wins and Lexington on 11.
On Tuesday, Woburn Memorial was able to grind out a solid victory over Burlington, taking the game 3-1.
Woburn Memorial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.

Woburn Memorial's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Mateo Qirjazi, who had 24 assists and seven digs, and Rohan Patel, who had ten digs. Qirjazi has been hot, having posted 17 or more assists the last eight times he's played.
Meanwhile, Lexington faced Milford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Minutemen came out on top in a nail-biter against the Scarlet Hawks, sneaking past 3-2.
Lexington wouldn't go down easily and took Milford into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Lexington pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Woburn Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Woburn Memorial might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Lexington in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Tanners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
