Basketball Recap: Trezevant Comes Up Short

Trezevant suffered their closest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the White Station Spartans by a score of 53-50. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Spartans are ranked 70th).

Amare Boothe was her usual excellent self, going 10 of 20 en route to 24 points and five steals for White Station. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndall Reynolds, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Trezevant has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for White Station, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trezevant will square off against St. Agnes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for White Station, they will take on Kingsbury at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
