Baseball Recap: Wesson Comes Up Short

Wesson was the 8-4 winner over Salem when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Wesson Cobras fell just short of the Salem Wildcats by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The loss was the Cobras' first of the season.

Wesson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baylor Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wesson fell to 2-1. As for Salem, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Wesson has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Enterprise on the 22nd. As for Salem, they will challenge Wesson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
