Baseball Game Preview: Madison Panthers vs. Higbee Tigers

Madison is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Madison Panthers challenge Higbee Tigers at 5:00 p.m. They are coming into the match on a 17-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Madison came up short against South Shelby and fell 6-1.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Higbee's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Linn County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat leaves the Tigers still looking for their first win of the season.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Higbee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Madison suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Higbee when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Madison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
