There's no place like home for Silver Bluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They never let the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.
Ryley Bowman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Emma Widener was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Haeley Bowman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Silver Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
