Football Recap: Wortham Bulldogs vs. Rio Vista Eagles
On Friday, the Wortham Bulldogs came up short against the Rio Vista Eagles and fell 22-12.
Ashton Huey had an outrageously good game for Rio Vista as he picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 76 yards on only five carries. Huey's longest reception was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Dawson Macklin also helped out as he racked up 114 receiving yards.
Wortham's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rio Vista, the win snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.
