Baseball Recap: Cameron Victorious

After only one run in their last contest, Cameron made sure to put some runs up on the board against Midland Trail on Wednesday. The Dragons came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 11-6.

Soier Reed made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Reed was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Zayde Long was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and five RBI. Cameron is 4-1 when Long posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-6 otherwise. Brody Smith was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

The win got Cameron back to even at 7-7. As for Midland Trail, their record now sits at 1-6.

Coming up, Cameron will challenge Greater Beckley Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Midland Trail, they will take on Shady Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
