Baseball Recap: L.C. Bird Comes Up Short

L.C. Bird was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Cosby Titans. The game marked the Skyhawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

L.C. Bird's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cosby, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

L.C. Bird will take on Midlothian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Skyhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cosby, they will challenge Powhatan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
