Softball Recap: Barren County Trojans vs. Washington County Commanders

Barren County got themselves on the board against Washington County on Thursday, but Washington County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Commanders. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Shea Bogue made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bogue was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. She also put up two runs, which were her first of the season.

In other pitching news, Adley Cunningham looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Kaitie Elmore was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
