Baseball Game Preview: Columbus East Olympians vs. Columbus North Bull Dogs

Columbus East hasn't had much luck against Columbus North recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Olympians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bull Dogs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Columbus East managed to slip by Greensburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Olympians lost 12-4 to the Pirates on Wednesday. The Olympians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aj Tindell, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Silver Creek hit Columbus North with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bull Dogs fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 6-5. Bull Dogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Dragons since on Tuesday.

Columbus North's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Columbus East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
