Softball Recap: Washington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Washington lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Avella, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. Washington put the hurt on Avella with a sharp 20-2 win on Thursday. Fans of the Prexies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The victory was the third in a row for Washington, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.7 runs this season. As for Avella, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Washington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-12 victory against Bethlehem Center on the 25th. As for Avella, they will square off against Bentworth at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
