Basketball Recap: Colmesneil Comes Up Short

Colmesneil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 46-21 to the Sterling Raiders.

It was another big night for Destiny Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 steals for Sterling. Lewis is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Madison Morrow was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 boards and ten blocks.

Colmesneil's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sterling, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11.

Colmesneil will welcome West Sabine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cesar E. Chavez at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
