Northside waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Westinghouse Warriors. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Leir Dierdorff was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Northside's record is now 13-4. As for Westinghouse, they dropped their record down to 2-10-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Northside will head out on the road to square off against Taft at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westinghouse will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' matchup: after the Mustangs face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Westinghouse again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
