Baseball Recap: Memphis University School Comes Up Short

Memphis University School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Christian Brothers Purple Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purple Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Monday.

Memphis University School's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Christian Brothers, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Memphis University School will face off against Munford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Brothers, they will challenge Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Purple Wave's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
