Softball Recap: Port Clinton Takes a Loss

If Port Clinton was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Bowsher on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redskins lost 8-0 to the Oak Harbor Rockets on Saturday. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Port Clinton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marissa Frohne, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that Frohne has hit this season.

Port Clinton now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Oak Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Port Clinton has already played their next contest, an 11-9 win against Brookside on the 26th. As for Oak Harbor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 26th.
