Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Pirates vs. Hollister Haybalers

The Stevenson Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Hollister Haybalers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Stevenson came up short against North Monterey County and fell 41-33. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hollister had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 64-53 victory over the Mustangs. The Haybalers pushed the score to 58-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

Hollister's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Stevenson came up short against Hollister in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-35. Can Stevenson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
