Softball Game Preview: James Madison Warhawks vs. Battlefield Bobcats

The James Madison Warhawks will venture away from home to take on the Battlefield Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. James Madison is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

James Madison had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt South Lakes on Tuesday. The Warhawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Seahawks a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Warhawks have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Battlefield beat Freedom 3-0 two weeks ago. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Olivia Morse's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, Mo Delman was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

James Madison's record now sits at 13-1. As for Battlefield, their record is now 7-3.
