Football Game Preview: Holbrook/Avon vs. Blue Hills RVT

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Blue Hills RVT will square off against Holbrook/Avon on Friday. Blue Hills RVT don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Blue Hills RVT's three-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. They were the clear victor by a 28-0 margin over South Shore Vo-Tech. That looming 28-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Blue Hills RVT yet.

Meanwhile, Holbrook/Avon have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their match against West Bridgewater last Friday making it five winless games in a row. Holbrook/Avon suffered a grim 14-35 defeat to West Bridgewater. The state rankings had actually given Holbrook/Avon a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Blue Hills RVT's win lifted them to 2-5 while Holbrook/Avon's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. We'll see if Blue Hills RVT's success rolls on or if Holbrook/Avon are able to steal their positive momentum.
