Ocala Christian had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-5-1 to make it four. They took a 21-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 back in February.

Ocala Christian saw ten different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Kuntzman, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Kuntzman is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another was Valery Coello-Alamo, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
As for Seven Rivers Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Seven Rivers Christian's side, Bryndle Bennett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave Bennett a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Seven Rivers Christian got a massive performance out of Annalise De Beer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Alannah Ruiz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Ocala Christian will face off against Wildwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they will head out to face off against Lakeside Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
