Baseball Recap: Duchesne Triumphs

Duchesne not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11, 2025 (when they won 17-1). They never let the North Summit Braves get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Kanden Cowan was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Payson Davis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Duchesne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Duchesne's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for North Summit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Duchesne beat North Summit by a score of 16-10 on Tuesday.
