Preview: Sacramento vs. El Camino

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sacramento. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next match against El Camino at Hughes Stadium at 7:15 PM on Friday. Sacramento will be strutting in after a victory while El Camino will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Sacramento have had to suffer through a 4-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had enough points to win and then some against Del Campo two weeks ago, taking their matchup 28-13. The success represented a nice turnaround for Sacramento, who in their last game suffered a tough 18-45 loss.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: El Camino lost to Capital Christian last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 13-56.

El Camino's loss took them down to 1-5 while Sacramento's win pulled them up to 1-4. In their win, Sacramento relied heavily on senior Marcus Taylor, who passed for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns. El Camino will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
