Softball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Claymont on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 16-11. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Claymont, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Claymont, they will challenge Ridgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
