Basketball Recap: Schalmont's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Schalmont won the last time they faced Mohonasen and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Schalmont Sabres came out on top against the Mohonasen Warriors by a score of 64-52. Given the Sabres' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Warriors are ranked 403rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Schalmont is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Mohonasen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Schalmont will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mohonasen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
