Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Franklin Panthers

Lincoln and Franklin are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lincoln Tigers duke it out with the Franklin Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Franklin likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Lincoln didn't have too much trouble with Bravo as they won 68-51.

Meanwhile, Franklin was beaten by Marshall 86-54 on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Lincoln might still be hurting after the 62-41 defeat they got from Franklin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
