Basketball Recap: Illinois C Comes Up Short

Illinois C was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the LKY Saints and fell 74-39. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Ezekiel Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for LKY, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Monty Edwards was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 12 points.

Illinois C's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for LKY, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-19.

Illinois C does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for LKY, they will host River City Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LKY knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully River City Jaguars likes a good challenge.
