Milan is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Peabody Golden Tide at 6:00 p.m. Milan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

Milan is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lexington just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-1. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Adam Ables, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Peabody kept a clean sheet against South Fulton on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Golden Tide haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Peabody's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Milan, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Milan was able to grind out a solid win over Peabody in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Milan repeat their success, or does Peabody have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
