Mt. Markham put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Westmoreland Bulldogs as the Mt. Markham Mustangs made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in December of 2024.

While Mt. Markham won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 26-24.

Layla Rice paced Mt. Markham's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rice got some help from Addison Jones and her 28 assists. Jones also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Savannah Wilcox, racking up four apiece.

Mt. Markham's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Westmoreland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mt. Markham has already played their next game (against Sherburne-Earlville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westmoreland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
