Volleyball Recap: Marmion Takes a Loss

Marmion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Aurora Blackhawks.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Marmion sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-17.

Marmion's record is now 4-11. As for West Aurora, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Marmion and West Aurora will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the court. The Blackhawks will head out to face the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Cadets will host them at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
